noise noise noise! LOL! tml NPMC exam. sian full. hope we all can pass bahx.. add oil orh. mani of us have no idea wat to study man. lee lee jong go through like machiam aeroplane. so fast. like goin agaist time. haha. anyway to those who wans bunny's model ans for tutorial on Nature of hearing and effects of noise qn 3, here u go:

The differences noise induced deafness (NID) and presbycousis are:
1) NID affects the 4000Hz frequency band first while presbycousis affects the 12000Hz first.
2) With time NID will affect a broader frequency band such 125 to 8000Hz while presbycousis affect all frequency down to 250Hz
3) NID is caused by noise and presbycousis is caused by age
4) NID shows a pronounced dip in hearing loss at 4000Hz while presbycousis shows poorer hearing with increasing frequency
5) NID can be avoided while presbycousis cannot be avoided
